Twilight Movie

I was able to go to the Twilight movie with a whole group of cousins and sister-in-laws and aunts last Friday. It was such a good time! Carly and I planned to meet the others at the theater a couple of hours before the movie started so that we would be guaranteed good seats. We were a little concerned we would get stuck with bad seats if we didn't get into line soon enough, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that there was NO ONE else in line when we got there. Jamie, Sara, Allie, and Leslie were holding down the front of the line, but I seriously expected tumbleweeds to roll across the lobby floor, it was so empty. We all had a great laugh about that and settled down to wait. To be honest, I was pretty happy that we were at the beginning of the line because it did eventually fill up and we got the best seats in the house! Now, onto the movie... I had really low expectations, so I was pleasantly surprised. I thought the beginning was a little awkward, but once they got going, it turned out really great! I'm excited for the next movie to come out because I think they will be able to develop the story a little more and hopefully their budget will be bigger so the special effects can be great! All in all, my final opinion is: The movie was great considering their budget and their crappy director (sorry Catherine Hardwicke fans). I still love the books more, but I was entertained and that's all I can ask for!

The video below is a spoof on Twilight. HILARIOUS- thanks Leslie for posting it on your blog. I laughed out loud multiple times and I couldn't resist sharing it with more people!

Personalized Calendars

I was given the opportunity to design a calendar for a craft fair last week. If anyone is interested in buying a personalized calendar, I would love to make one for you! It takes about a week to complete once I get pictures from you. Each calendar has a total of 26 pictures, but I can adjust the calendar as needed, depending on the number of pictures you have. The total cost is about $25, but for friends and family, it is $20. If anyone is interested in ordering one, just email me and I'd love to make one for you. See the pictures below for the calendar pages. Thanks!

Pumpkin Cheesecake

My cousin Crystal just posted this on her blog and she said it was delicious, so I thought I would share. I haven't made it myself, so I don't know how good it is, but I trust Crystal, so here it is. If anyone makes it, let me know what you think of it!
(*Disclaimer: Crystal tells me that this takes some time to make- not an instant dessert by any means! Just fyi!)

Just...Score...Already!!!

Neil, Tom, my Mom, and I all made the trek down to the first RSL playoff game ever on Saturday! They played Chivas USA in their new stadium. It was beautiful weather, even almost a little too hot, and the game was fantastic. There was lots of yelling at the referee to do, and tons of scoring chances by RSL. They had 21 total shots versus only 3 by Chivas USA. It was a little frustrating because with that many chances, you should finish already, but they made up for it in the 90th minute with a sweet goal. What a fun game and I am so glad they won! Now they go back to California to play Chivas USA at home in the second leg of the series.

New Coche

So... Neil and I got a new car! We decided after rigorous tests that we could make do with one car, so we traded in our two cars and got a Hyundai Santa Fe. (The tests involved Neil not driving his car for about a month. He only drove his car twice, so we decided we could make it work.) It's a little roomier because it's an SUV, so we'll be able to haul around all of our soccer equipment a little easier. The dealership gave us a steal of a deal, and it saves us quite a bit of money a month. Not too shabby! And I'd also like to give a shout out to Jamie and Sara, they are by far the funnest people to show a new car to. You two rock!
